Matthew 12:46-50 People who do the will of GOD are our true brothers and sisters.
Not just believing. Not just having faith. Not just praying.
We should want to do the will of GOD so that we be considered truly saved, and true members of the true church.
Matthew 6:10 “Thy will be done here on Earth as it is in Heaven”.
How: 33 Seek first the Kingdom and his righteousness.
Realize that this life (and its gratifications) are temporary. The things of this life are not what’s most important.
Luke 22:42 Jesus set the example: “…not my will, but yours be done.”
Ephesians 5:15-17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
How: Prayer, fasting, humbling self. Reading enough scripture.
Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
Know that you have greater rewards in The Kingdom.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
How to renew the mind: transform: Repent & be baptized to receive the help of The Holy Ghost.
And then by reading enough scripture, putting your mind on Christ, the bible, and on spiritual things.
Luke 9:57-62 People using many excuses of their own self will, to not receive The Kingdom.
John 7:17 “If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.”
People ask how they know that I am teaching the truth.
It’s important to be able to have discernment about different preachers, ministries, churches. By putting God’s will first, not your own, you train your mind upon spiritual principals and grow in the measure of The Holy Ghost, giving you greater discernment and greater wisdom, and greater understanding of scripture, so that you won’t be so easily deceived. Wisdom, The Holy Ghost and reading the bible, protects you from foolish doctrines. Read the bible. Study the bible. Come to know the bible. Fast. Draw near to God. Put God first.
John 12:25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Again, realizing that this life is temporary, therefore willing to lose jobs, family, friends, for the sake of the Kingdom and his truth and his righteousness. You can’t always do God’s will when you are still putting this life first.
1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world. Going back to Matthew 6, loving God more than the things of this world.
First of all, desire to please God and actually care about what He wants and what is his will.
Pray much. Fast when necessary. Read the scriptures often. Less YouTube. Less Google. More GOD.
Humble self. Seek His will over and above your own will.
