(May 9, 2024 New Moon of 2nd biblical month)
(38 days until Pentecost)
Mankind born with a sinful nature:
Romans 6:1-9
:6 “Body of sin” is not talking about the flesh being literally sin, but rather sinful.
We don’t lose the flesh itself when we are born again / saved, but rather The Holy Ghost within us begins to conquer our sinful nature.
1 John 1:8 All have sinned.
Romans 7 (Entire chapter) The apostle Paul’s intense struggle with sin.
John 3 You must be born again. Can’t defeat sin without being baptized / born again.
:8 Add reference to Romans 8:9
Romans 5:12 By Adam and Eve, death/sin came to all mankind.
-Adam/Eve not created with sinful nature/death, but we are:
Adam and Eve were not created with a sinful nature, but rather only with the freedom to choose. That is called "free will" which we all also have.
Adam and Eve were originally sinless but at the same time not yet saved.
They had not yet consumed from the tree of life, Christ Jesus. Nor from the forbidden weed either.
Genesis 2:17
Genesis 3:22-23
Therefore their condition was very different and very unique, having no physical ancestry.
Adam and Eve chose sin and rebellion, which resulted in the sinful nature, which was passed down to all humanity.
Although God did not create Adam and Eve with a sinful nature, he did give them the “free will” to decide. Therefore God did know that they would sin, even without the sinful nature, just because they had free will.
However, although mankind after Adam and Eve are born with a sinful nature, and will absolutely sin, it’s not impossible to become without sin via:
1. The Holy Ghost, i.e. The Tree of Life
2. The purification of The Great Tribulation 1 Peter 1:7
It’s not impossible to become sinless via those 2 things. Matthew 5:48 and 1 Peter 1:16 and 1 John 3:9 but it will take a lifetime including the necessity of The Great Tribulation. By nature, everyone becomes much more serious to finish the race successfully when the deadline is impending. Even as people get older.
